About College:
The field of Medicine is one where science and social commitments walk hand in hand. In order to fulfill the dream of creating such committed doctors, MAEER’S MIT Pune, established, Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research (MIMER) in the year 1995 at Talegaon Dabhade, near Pune, India.The institute originally affiliated to the University of Pune, is now under Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Nashik, and is recognized by Medical Council of India. The college provides facilities for the MBBS courses with intake capacity of 100 students.
Benevolent, broad minded management, highly experienced student friendly faculty, ample clinical material, state of art educational facilities, stimulating academic and social atmosphere set in an idyllic scenic climate aptly summarise the Talegaon Dbhade campus of MIMER.

Library :A library well equipped with books and up to date periodicals forms the backbone of any educational institution. Spread over a vast floor area , the central library has three reading rooms, furnished with latest medical books required for teaching and learning various subjects of medical science.

Blood Bank
Blood Bank was started in 1995. In Sept. 1999 blood bank is given the status of “Regional Blood Transfusion Center” by S.B.T.C. of Govt. of Maharashtra. The Blood Bank is upgraded with the modern equipments for serological tests by Elisa method .All the record of blood bank is being computerised.
Museum
Each department has well displayed museum with large number of specimens, models and charts used for the purpose of teaching. The specimens and charts are updated from time to time to include latest development in the field of medicine.
Hospital
Dr. B. S. alias Bhausaheb Sardesai established Talegaon General Hospital in 1925 with the vision to provide excellent health care at an affordable cost. It was his dream to start a medical college at Talegaon . He along with his team collaborated with MAEER , M.I.T. Pune to establish the medical college. The hospital is renamed after him as Dr. Bhausaheb Sardesai Talegaon Rural Hospital in order to cherish his memories. The hospital is located in the same campus of the college.
